July 14 & 15, 2012: Olympic National Park

For our first weekend in Washington, Callie and I ventured out to parts of Olympic National Park, just west of Olympia.  It’s amazingly diverse – containing the only 3 temperate rain forests in the continental United States (we saw two of them), incredible beaches with craggy “sea stacks”, waterfalls too numerous to count, and glaciers in the mountains.  The next few blog entries contain photos of our weekend. 🙂
